The Joint War Committee comprises underwriting representatives from both the Lloyd’s and IUA company markets, representing the interests of those who write marine hull war business in the London market. The Committee consults with independent security advisers whose objective input helps to designate the listed areas. The Listed Areas are updated whenever there are significant increases or decreases of risk.
To ensure owners are never in breach of policy, we have implemented an interactive map highlighting the restricted areas. Our clients are invited to compare their sailing plans with the restricted areas and let us know if they require further counsel.
The latest versions can be found at the Lloyd's Market Association website. The current list in effect is the JWLA-032 dated 18th December 2023.
The map is only provided as an indication of the targeted areas. Please refer to the actual applicable JWLA list for precise limits and as well as internationally recognized EEZ limits
